Though all hospice, visit, and physician charges are on the claim and in the claim totals, under the new billing requirements, only the hospice and physician revenues are posted to the AR. The same charges that were previously posted will now be posted differently. Prior to the update, all like revenue codes were posted with a single posting, and each claim was associated with a maximum of five revenue postings (ardtail records). To meet the new CR5567 billing requirements and payment reporting, the new AR posting makes a separate revenue posting (Unify ardtail record) for every hospice and physician revenue line on the claim. This will also allow for very detailed revenue and payment/adjustments reports for the hospice.
