Using mumms® to Post 835 Remittance Files

Medicare 835 ERA and Medicaid 835 ERA – These electronic remittance files enhance productivity by automatically posting payments and adjustments to the AR. In the 835 applications, the user transfers the electronic claim file from the intermediary to his/her PC, and then mumms® PAS imports the information from the PC into the mumms® database.

The mumms® PAS program reads the file from the user’s PC and performs:

Automatic posting of all claim payments, adjustments, and denials.
Up-to-date AR information immediately and independently of workloads or time schedules.
Comprehensive reports detailing information from the intermediary in comparison to what has been posted into the mumms® program.
Full integration with AR Error & Notes features to automatically record and track all claim denials and the reason for the denial.
