mumms® Software Celebrates Twenty Years in the Hospice and Palliative Care Industry
New Orleans, LA – January 12, 2009 –Since 1989, mumms® Software (a multi-user medical management system created by Secure Computing Systems, Inc.) has provided hospice-specific software to the hospice and palliative care community and is celebrating its 20th anniversary. mumms® Software originally began as a one man operation with President and Chief Executive Officer, Leo J. Radosta, which solely offered an administrative application. The company has now become a nationwide corporation with numerous employees across the country. The complete business and clinical software system is now used in nearly 200 hospices and palliative care facilities across 30 states to track over 15,000 patients daily.
Despite the company’s tremendous growth, Mr. Radosta has maintained the personal feel of mumms® by keeping his humble admiration of the hospice and palliative care community at the heart of his business. “I most admire the compassion and dedication I’ve seen in hospice and palliative care. They are more dedicated, compassionate, and concerned about patient care.”
For the last twenty years, mumms® Software has consistently developed and maintained the most technologically advanced and user-friendly programs in the field. “From the beginning, mumms® has always been much more innovative and user-friendly than any other software in the hospice and palliative care industry,” says Leo Radosta. “Customers always commented to me on the user-friendliness and logical layout of mumms®. I’ve always intended for mumms® to be the leader in hospice and palliative care software technology. Back in 1997, mumms® was the exclusive hospice and palliative care software provider to implement the ASP model - no other vendor had thought of it. Utilizing the ASP hosted model was an important breakthrough for hospice technology that was introduced by mumms®.”
To show appreciation for its loyal customers, mumms® Software will celebrate the anniversary throughout the year by offering discounts on both business and clinical applications. The festivities will culminate in October with the mumms® Conference 2009 at the Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans. The two-day conference will feature acclaimed guest speakers in the hospice and palliative care community and in-depth training sessions, while providing attendees with a taste of true New Orleans culture. This unique opportunity will be an invaluable resource made exclusively available to new and current mumms® users.
