mumms® Reimbursement Services (MRS) is a comprehensive billing service that performs all hospice and palliative care billing and claims processing, which can eliminate the need for an internal biller for any size organization. With this service, the only administrative action needed for billing is recording patient data, such as insurance information and level of care changes, in the PAS program.

Each billing period, MRS generates pre-bill and exception reports which are sent to the hospice or palliative care facility for verification prior to the submission of claims. Once claims are verified, this service submits the claims to the appropriate intermediaries, records the payments, and prepares month-end accounts receivable (A/R) revenue and payment reports.

This service will:

• Submit all Notices of Admission (NOAs) to Medicare
• Provide pre-billing reports for verification of data prior to submission of claims
• Submit all claims according to a predefined schedule
• Post all payments received into the A/R
• Provide month-end reports
